More than 50 children from Pertubuhan Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR) and Pertubuhan Amal Shah Alam (PASA) were among the special guests who attended the Hari Raya open house that was hosted by Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH).
The festive function brought much joy and merry-making for the children from RACTAR and PASA, a non-profit organisation in Subang Jaya and Shah Alam respectively, which houses orphans and poor children from all over Malaysia. The homes not only provide shelter, but also skill training to the children.
SPLASH Executive Director Dato' Ir Haji Azmi Mat Nor graced the function and handed out 'duit raya' and gifts such as dictionaries and chocolates to the children. Among those who attended the function were SPLASH staff, associates and government authorities. Also present were VIPs such as the President of Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad Dato' Karim Munisar and YBhg Dato' Mohd Yusoff Haji Md. Nasir, a member of the SPLASH Board of Directors.
