World Water Day 2005 - Students and Local Folks learn about water treatment processes (26 March 2005)

In conjunction with the World Water Day 2005, SPLASH opened the Bukit Badong Water Treatment Plant on 26th March 2005 to the public to see the process of raw water being treated.

The main objective of the event is to create awareness and educate the public on the water treatment process. This is the second year the treatment plant has held an open day since it began operation at the end of 2003.

More than 300 visitors including school children and local residents were taken on a tour of the treatment plant. Light refreshments were given out throughout the day and activities like quizzes and lucky draw competitions were also held.
