Bukit Badong Water Treatment Plant Open Day in Conjunction With World Water Day

BUKIT BADONG WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPEN DAY HELD ON 27 MARCH 2004 IN CONJUNCTION WITH WORLD WATER DAY
Avid visitors were given positive exposure on water treatment process and the importance of water conservation during an Open Day visit and exhibition at the Sungai Selangor Water Supply Scheme Phase 3 (SSP3) water treatment plant at Bukit Badong in conjunction with World Water Day recently.
Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH) organised the Open Day in conjunction with World Water Day which falls on March 22 every year. The primary objective of the event is to educate the public at large, especially the young on the importance of conserving water and using water wisely. During the Open Day media and other visitors including school children and local residents were given a tour of the treatment plant. Light meal was given out throughout the day and quizzes, lucky draw and colouring competition were also held to attract more visitors. All activities held on the day reflected the theme for the year which is "Water and Disaster".
